Bio:Total Damage were formed in the South Jakarta, Indonesia in 1997 by Ivanof (bass), Adillaha (drums), Oklay (guitar.voc). The band were initially inspired by the anarcho-punk movement (a sub genre of punk music focused on anarchist politics) and groups within that genre such as The Exploited, Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Disorder, Crass, Amebix, Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Disrupt, Destroy, Discharge, Doom, Assuck, Nasum, Code13, Anti-Cimex, Capitalist Casualties, Police Bastard, Phobia, SkitSystem, Disfear, Driller Killer, Nausea, Mob 47. Adieb joined on vocal in 1998 and Doni joined on (additional rhythm guitar), Oklay (drums), Ivanof (bass) and Adillaha (guitar). The first stable line-up, Total Damage played their first concerts. In 1999 Adieb and Doni leave the group. With the departure of Adieb and Doni, the band had to reformed line-up. The group consisted of a 3-piece line-up of Ivanof (bass.Voc), Adillaha (guitar), Oklay (drums). With this line-up, the band joined "United One" Compilation by blank records, with single "Police Bastards". This Compilation contain 12 band Jakarta Punk, Skin, Hardcore, Noise, Crust. Feat: Street Voice, Stupidity, Pretty Baby Dolls, Total Damage, Stupid Bones, The Innocents, Social Distrust, Crass Out, Easy Going, Dismay, Refusal, Caution. Adillaha was becoming frustrated with the musical direction of the band, and began to lose interest as a whole as a result. In 2000 Adillaha leave the group. With the departure of Adillaha, the band had to look for new members. Guitarist Eqi played in a band based in ciputat, called Global Holocaust which is similar to the bands, he joined Total Damage while still playing and active role in Global Holocaust. The band asked a friend (Gatot) to join as bassist. The band had to reformed line-up consisted of a 4-piece line-up of Ivanof (vocal), Eqi (guitar), Gatot (bass), Oklay (drums). This line-up recorded the "Police Racist Action (ep)" at K studio in Aprl 2000, and the album was released through Blank Records. In May 2001, their song "Police Racist Action" and "Anti Police System" was released on "The Way It Crust To Be" compilation by Oposisi Records. Ivanof dissatisfaction with the musical direction of the group led him to leave the group in 2001. After Ivanof leave the group, Total Damage played concert with additional vocalist Menx (Global Holocaust) on May 2001 at Ciputat-Tangerang. In august 2001 Gatot leave the group in order to focus on his work. In Oct 2001 Eqi leave the group to focus play the guitar for Global Holocaust. With the departure of them the band was vacuum. Oklay to focus as drums player for Pretty Baby Dolls. In 2002, Dipo was asked to joined as guitar player. Dipo played in a band based in Ciputat, called Total Corrupt. He joined Total Damage while still playing and active role in Total Corrupt. After that moment, Dipo and Oklay asked Fath to join Total Damage as bassist. Fath played in a band based in Ciledug, called Gory Inhumane Genocide. He joined Total Damage while still playing and active role in Gory Inhumane Genocide. Fath asked his brother purwo to join Total Damage as vocalist. The band had to reformed line-up consisted of a 4-piece line-up of Purwo (vocal), Dipo (guitar), Fath (bass), Oklay (drums). This line-up recorded the 10-songs at Barata studio in March 2002. This song to join 6way split "Breathless War" Indonesian 6way Fast Hardcore Thrash Crust Grindcore Compilation Feat: Tersanjung 13 (Tangerang), Disreject (Surabaya), Total Damage (Jakarta), Social Distrust (Jakarta), Extreme Hate (Tangerang), Human Corruption (Surabaya). The album was released through Tukangsayurekord. With consisted of a 4-piece line-up, the band was played concert on May 2002 at GOR Rawa Kambing, Ciledug-Tangerang with Total Destroy, Sexy Pig, Chaos Kaki, The Innocent, Spatiztik, Total Anarchy, Total Corrupt, Caution, Unrest, Death Side, etc. In 2003, Esty joined on Growl.voc. The 5 piece line-up recorded 13-songs at Barata studio in June 2003. "Untitled" song was released on "Fight Back" compilation (Indonesian Hardcore Thrash Crust Grindcore Compilation), by Trendy Crushers Records. With consisted of a 5-piece line-up, the band was played concert on April 2003 at GOR Rawa Kambing, Ciledug-Tangerang. After this concert Dipo leave the group in order to focus on his work. Purwo leave the group in order to focus on his work in Tangerang. Esty leave the group in order to focus on his work. With the departure of them the band was vacuum and Fath to focus on his studies. He joined Total Damage while still playing and active role in Caution. Broer (ex-Chronic Disease/jogja) was asked to joined as bass player. Broer played in a band based in Ciputat, called Pretty Baby Dolls. He joined Total Damage while still playing and active role in Pretty Baby Dolls. The band had to reformed line-up consisted of a 5-piece line-up of Fath (vocal), Roy (guitar), Amon (guitar), Broer (bass), Oklay (drums). This line-up recorded the 8-songs demo at Barata studio in june 2004. With consisted of a 4-piece line-up, the band was played concert on sept 2004 at outdoor-Cirendeu, Ciputat-Tangerang. In 2005, Amon leave the group in order to focus on his work. After this moment Broer leave the group to focus play the bass for Pretty Baby Dolls. In nov 2005, Oklay asked Dito to join Total Damage as bassist to replace Broer. Dito played in a band based in Ciputat, called Better Days. He joined Total Damage while still playing and active role in Better Days. The band had to reformed line-up consisted of a 4-piece line-up of Fath (vocal), Roy (guitar), Dito (bass), Oklay (drums). This line-up recorded the "Riot sound for total satisfaction" Split Album with SillyRiot (jakarta). Contains 15 songs HardCore Grind from Total Damage and 6 songs HardCore Punk from SillyRiot. Recorded at K studio in April 2006, and the album was released through Movement Records. On August 17, 2007, the band was played concert at Dejavu Cafe Jakarta with SillyRiot, Peace or Annihilation, The Sabotage, Bangsat, Rotten Vagina 69, Take it Back, etc. On august 25, 2007, the band was played concert at Vicky Sianipar music center jakarta with Dreamer,Oracle, and The Sabotage. On june 2008, the band was played concert at Dejavu Cafe jakarta with Everybody's Enemy (japan), Straight Answer, Looserz, Tersanjung 13, Grave Dancers, etc. On Nov 2008, the band was played concert at Maroti Cafe jakarta with 97-Shiki (USA), Peace or Annihilation, Zudaskrust, Bullet Proof, Street Voices, Error Crew, The Innocent, Robomurphy. On dec 2008, the band was played concert at Balai Rakyat Depok with Unrest, Out of Control, Total Anarchy, Straight Answer, Setara, Dead Lock, etc. After this concert, Fath leave the group in order to focus on his work. With the departure of Fath, the band was vacuum. Roy to focus play the Guitar for Tolerance. Dito to focus play the guitar for The End of Hanna, and Oklay to focus on his work. In 2010, the band had look for new members. Vocalist Gemma played in a band based in Rempoa, called The End of Hanna. He joined Total Damage while still playing and active role in The End of Hanna. The band had to reformed line-up consisted of a 4-piece line-up of Gemma (vocal), Roy (guitar), Dito (bass), Oklay (drums). With this line-up, the band was played concert on Oct 2010 at Dejavu Cafe jakarta with Prosatanica, Asphyxiate, Innerbeauty, etc. On Dec 2010, the band was played concert at Cimanggis Outdoor with Sickmath, Antraks, Dead Carnations, etc. Now the band was preparing new material for new album and grind your gigs with blasting your mind.
